Well I finally found out what was going on with my friend. I heard back from him today, and apparently he was sharing his yahoo account with a lover of his, and things went badly and so his lover started messing around with his personal stuff online, got into his Facebook account and sent out false e-mails to people, and so on and so forth, so he stopped using that account, but was unaware of the fact that his ex-lover had also prevented him from receiving e-mails, so he never got the e-mails I sent him and had no idea I was trying to get in touch with him, and ironically he presumed that I was the one who was choosing to no longer want to get in touch with him. So he did not contact me because he thought I was keeping my distance from him.

    Wow! That is an awesome end to that story. Good for you for pursuing the friendship. I would have given up much sooner, as such a situation, in most cases, is not worth your time.

    We are both quite happy to have our friendship restored, it was just by chance, that I had decided to try and contact that other e-mail address of his and I really was not expecting a reply.

    Sigh--communication between friends can sometimes seem like walking a tightrope over a tiger pit--you really want to get on with the journey but don;t quite want to be pushed in the wrong direction. Glad it worked out.

    Really! I hate when you've been used to talk to someone easily, though infrequently only to discover one day that they seem to have disappeared. I'm glad you guys found each other again. Like b4b, I probably would have given up a bit sooner.
