Ah. The birdie's gone. It livened up after a good sleep. We looked at it when I got up and found it had eaten. Seed and meal worms were strewn across the box. Confined wild pigeons seem to be quite incontinent, the last one we found did the same. When we looked in the paper was covered in pigeon poop. We're not sure if it had a drink or not but we hope it did, though I suspect the bowl might have been a little high for it.

During her first walk of the day I'm told that Yuki discovered a bird and tried to eat it. A live bird. A little pigeon. When mum came home she told me about it and started looking for a box. I offered to go with her to get it, got dressed and found a suitable box. It was raining and we found the poor thing where they'd left it, huddled up in a tight little alcove under some weeds.

At once I could see that it wasn't in great condition. It had a red mark on it's wing implying a cut ...

There are some recent things that kind of **** me off at the moment. Mainly things I've heard on the news. So. In no particular order.

GCSE's. For the past few years about this time of year "officials" have been saying that exams are too easy and need to be harder because too many students are getting good grades. Um...yeah...how exactly is that a bad thing? It might not be to do with the exams. It could be the quality of teaching they've received or the studying they've ...

Argh. It's too hot. My cousin's still touring Australia with her boyfriend. They say it's winter there at the moment and most locals are too cold when it's 30 degrees. Reason one for why I could never go to Australia. I'd melt. More precisely burn then melt. I was starting to wonder since it'd been 3 months since they updated their travel blog.

I hate the kind of weather we have at the moment. Naturally you'd think the hottest part of Summer would be midsummer. Oh well. On the plus ...

Heh. Bit of a misleading title. We took Yuki shopping today to the pet shop. She's been there twice before. The first time we had her weighted to work out how much frontline to give her and second to get her a proper collar. Her current range of collars are black with bone shaped studs, very classy but the ring in them keeps breaking so we're going to try a stronger one this time.
