Last Halloween totally sucked. We got a group of about 3 or 4 trick-or-treaters. They all grabbed for the sweets at the same time and had a little hand scuffle and once they'd all got some they went back for seconds. No way. I'm waiting for my straighteners to cool down. PC has suddenly slowed down, it does that at this time of morning. I stayed in the bath too long (not exactly uncommon for me). The day before, after the operation they told her that she had to lay on her side for 50 minutes then stand for 10 and repeat every hour. Mum's going in to hospital for an eye operation. I'm not too worried about it. Although the last time she went into hospital was to give birth 23 years ago. I'm not used to her being ill or having problems requiring treatment. She gets the normal complaints of course, back ache, leg pains, swollen ankles, unsightly veins.
