I can’t believe I have gotten through hours and hours of literature classes and never had to read Moby Dick! The good Dr. assigned Moby rather apologetically. Due to my work and reading load for school I have not been keeping up with my reading wishlist, but I have discovered a newer author that I am absolutely crazy over.

Muriel Barbery is the author of The Elegance of the Hedgehog and Gourmet Rhapsody. Hedgehog needs to be read first because Gourmet picks up during the first book. The author has returned to dip into this well of stories and characters more than once and I wish she would come back for a new novel.

School is about to start again. This is fine although I have had a good dose of disillusionment surrounding college. I have finally figured it all out. I take classes that teach me too little; I once thought this was because most of my classes have been taken through community colleges, but upon talking with slews of people taking classes at state universities and finding that their classes are almost just like mine, I have given this self-deprecating notion up.
