  1. Purslane Supreme Yellow

    by , 08-26-2010 at 03:05 AM (A Lonely Traveller)

    My dear,
    can you tell me why
purslane supreme yellow is in fullest bloom
as the sun in fullest swing?

    My dear,
if you care to cast a glance,
    your heart,
    like a tightly-closed bud,
will start to unfurl like vibrant purslane
    in passionate sunshine.

  2. A Hermit Crab Carrying a Tower

    by , 08-25-2010 at 12:02 AM (A Lonely Traveller)

    When very small,
    I wondered
    why you carried a tower
    on your back
    wherever you travelled.

    Getting older,
    I knew
    it was your borrowed house
    in a sandy beach
    beside the ocean expanse.

    Now
    it dawns on me
we are nothing but migrating birds
    without a home
    taking a seasonal journey.

  3. It's Drizzling Again

    by , 08-24-2010 at 12:02 PM (A Lonely Traveller)
    It’s drizzling again,
    and
    I'm thinking of you.

    Your shoulder-length silky hair,
    blowing in the air,
conjures up an autumn of falling leaves.

    Romantic raindrops kiss you gently
    on the dewy eyes,
    rolling down the rosy cheeks
    like pearls.

    Poetic rain accompanies us
    all the way home;
    stepping on your misty shadow
    in the falling leaves
I am drunk over and over again.

  4. A Cat's Shedding Tears

    by , 08-24-2010 at 03:25 AM (A Lonely Traveller)

    A cat is shedding
    tears beside a dying mouse
    at a young age
    while the curtain is falling
    on the stage.

  5. In Manure, a Most Elegant Flower Grows

    by , 08-22-2010 at 09:26 PM (A Lonely Traveller)

    Some wonder
    in manure,
    a most elegant flower grows.

    Some snicker
    without a hair,
a toad wears a pink rose on his head.
