From Ward No. 6 by Chekhov Without solitude true happiness was impossible. The fallen angel was faithless to God probably only because he longed for solitude, which angles knew not.
From Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand Man has the power to act as his own destroyer and that is he has acted through most of history.
From Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand: "It's not that I don't suffer, it's that I know the unimportance of suffering. I know that pain is to be fought and thrown aside, not to be accepted as part of one's soul and as a permanent scar across one's view of existence. "
I just had to post this becasue I think it is hysterical. There is this movie coming out Fright Night, about vampires, and within the movie they make fun of Twilight, which in itself is enough to make me want to see it, but in the previews there is this line that cracks me up everytime I hear it. "You read too much Twilight. He is not brooding and lovesick, he is the shark from Jaws"

From Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand I swear by my life and my love of it that I will never live for the sake of another man nor ask another man to live for mine.
