I happened to be on IMDb (The Internet Movie Database) looking something up, and on their homepage they have this thing where they advertise different movies that are going to be coming out and a lot of the time it is stuff that I haven't heard of before, because they are movies that are still too new to have had previews or sometimes they are more independent, out the way films, and such, so sometimes I like to pop on to IMDb just to see what new movies are being advertised.

I have been chatting via email with this person who I happened to meet online and we seemed to have a few things in common, and one of the things he mentioned was that he liked to play music. Now I myself love music, and so I asked him about what kind of music he liked, and there were a couple of other things I also mentioned in the email. So when he responded to me he never really addressed my question about the music, so at first I thought maybe he just overlooked it, or forgot or something. ...

I do not know if it is a by product of the text, Facebook, twitter age, in which people are reduced to sharing rather banal tidbits about themselves often in the briefest way possible, and which has greatly minimalized conversation, but I am coming to notice that it seems people have grown either rather intellectually lazy, for lack of a better word, or simply no longer really know how to truly fully express themselves and communicate effectively.

I do not often talk about current events and news items and such things of the like, because well I generally do not have an interest in that way and there are plenty of other people to talk about those things, but every now and than something will catch my eye which I feel inclined to comment upon.

I periodically check my spam folders because sometimes things which are not spam end up there, and sometimes I do it just out of boredom. While I was looking through I saw this thing saying it was from the International Police Association, which of course it wasn't but sometimes these things are just fun to read so I figured I would see what they had to say to me (probably nothing any good).

And it was one of those scams along the lines of the ones those ones you usually get in ...
