Halls of the Dark Muse

I have finally figured out a way in which I can get my kitty pictures up. This is Strega after his busy day playing in the front yard.

Need I say more? I think the title says it all.

A woman who my mom knows through work had these kittens she was looking to get rid of, and well whenever animals are being given away my mom always comes to me. And who is going to say no to a kitten? Of course I wanted one. So she told the woman I was interested and I just got the new kitten last night.

I call him Strega, which means witch in Italian. He is a very mellow and mild mannered little guy, in fact his temperament ...

I suddenly hear this outburst of noise which sounded almost like a turkey or a chicken, and some scuffling in the front yard, and there are people who have chickens around here so at first I think maybe a chicken had wandered into the yard and one of the cats went after it.

I get up to walk to the front door to find out what was going on and at first all I see was this little dog on the porch and well I know the dog was not the one making the bird like noises, and I can still hear ...

Last night I am getting ready to go to bed when I notice that there is a black widow hanging out on the windowsill (and my bed is right up against the window) so went to find a container in which I could try and catch it with and take it out when by the time I got back it was already disappearing into a little crevice between the wall and the window pane where I could not reach it.

Stood there a moment not really sure what to do about that, so I tried turning out the lights and leaving ...

I mentioned a while back how I was enamoring myself within Ancient Greek, and as part of that I was rereading "The Odyssey" of which I am now finished with, but I was reading it as part of a discussion for an online book group in which the discussion of the book is still taking place.
