Well, I am in California!

So far, so good. My boyfriend and I are starying with my dad and we got to see my stepmother, stepsister, and half brother before they left last night for Peru. I think my dad will be very much less stressed and a little more relaxed and laid back without so many people in his house. I bought him one of those shiatsu massager things that you put on a chair to help with that .

We've gotten a lot done. A lot of Christmas shopping is over, ...

It just tickles me to think that while I am sitting here in a dorm room overlooking a beautiful Caribbean island procrastinating from studying for my exam that on Sunday...yes, Sunday!...I will be at Six Flags Magic Mountain in California!!! It's crazy because I remember it so clearly...I used to go there six or more times a year, and it's been so far away all this time (2 years!!!) and now I'm going to be there in just 4 days!!!

Better yet, I'm flying to LA day after tommorow! ...

I think I know what my problem is.

I have no space to call my own.

See, when I lived in LA, I had my own bedroom. The walls were covered in posters and drawings, a string of keychains served as the pull-chain for my ceiling fan, the lightswitch turned on the radio instead of the light, and I had a drafting table to sit at and write, draw, or contemplate to my heart's content.

Now, I have a dorm with drab furniture that I am not allowed to remove, walls ...
