Before we begin the story of Allison and Danielle I must relate a hard lesson learned. Bible students may recall the Israelites got into trouble complaining about manna from heaven day after day and requested quail to relieve their imagined monotony of diet. Which answered prayer literally made them sick to their stomachs. About a month ago I grumble that there were no new interesting cases at AAA. Nothing new under the sun so to speak.

At my age I find it interesting that when I am not looking for friends and relationships they find me. Within the past two weeks or so some old and new favorites ladies have been making my life amusing, uplifting and a bit problematic.

It's been awhile but I'm feeling especially alive since yesterday. The Pall Bearer Committee and ol' Snapjaws have been cheated of their duty and prey a second time. The Lawnmower Mower of Doom was forced to make my front yard presentable to the lawn patrol protectors of higher standards in the neighborhood.
Perceptive readers will notice a small omission. Ah but I always expose the warts (and the random scar now and then) but the sins remain covered and forgiven in the Lord.
At heart I am a simple man easily satisfied. I have learned in collecting books, comics, etc. that patience is indeed a virtue. I have regularly discovered that it's the thrill of the hunt or long waits that make a collection interesting to me and not necessarily the completion.
Right now my e-bay pal Nikki is working a bid on King of the Royal Mounted Sunday strips from the 1950s for me. I always have competition for those and lose more often then I win.
Parents that have troubling teens with overactive agressive tendencies and a bent for havoc making have one wonderful event to look forward to.
You don't know exactly when and you are not exactly sure in what form it will take but someday your child will call and say the second magic words an old codger revels in hearing:
"You were right and I was wrong."
