At my age I find it interesting that when I am not looking for friends and relationships they find me. Within the past two weeks or so some old and new favorites ladies have been making my life amusing, uplifting and a bit problematic.

So in no particular order:

Partner Brandy gives me a wooden box for my birthday with a card making a joke about if I wasn't a drama queen I could be a king instead. The box had laminations of Superman figures inside, a definition of ...

It's been awhile but I'm feeling especially alive since yesterday. The Pall Bearer Committee and ol' Snapjaws have been cheated of their duty and prey a second time. The Lawnmower Mower of Doom was forced to make my front yard presentable to the lawn patrol protectors of higher standards in the neighborhood.

Perceptive readers will notice a small omission. Ah but I always expose the warts (and the random scar now and then) but the sins remain covered and forgiven in the Lord. ...

At heart I am a simple man easily satisfied. I have learned in collecting books, comics, etc. that patience is indeed a virtue. I have regularly discovered that it's the thrill of the hunt or long waits that make a collection interesting to me and not necessarily the completion.

Right now my e-bay pal Nikki is working a bid on King of the Royal Mounted Sunday strips from the 1950s for me. I always have competition for those and lose more often then I win.

Besides ...

Parents that have troubling teens with overactive agressive tendencies and a bent for havoc making have one wonderful event to look forward to.

You don't know exactly when and you are not exactly sure in what form it will take but someday your child will call and say the second magic words an old codger revels in hearing:

Just got off the phone. Apparently Mom is back to normal again and it's like yesterday didn't happen. She thought she was in the hospital and had wondered whn she got back to the nursing home. Was startled and pleased with this turn of events. I have got to stop prematurely burying people even if they are 90.
