Not all my fantasies revolve around a certain well thought about moderator who has lawyers on speed dial for pesky forum member control.
My real fantasy of late has been to write a book.
Or vent my spleen.
And this would accomplish both.
The origin of this little fantasy came out of a remark I made in a blog entry awhile back about unwritten entries one of which related to my real attitudes about Christian fellowship.

Being at heart a simple man with simple pleasures and desires I am easily contented. I have wanted certain things from my childhood to be reexperienced or completed and over the years most of these goals have been met.
For instance: Have read all 20 Bomba the Jungle Boy books.
Have read all 325 Shadow pulp adventures.
Have read all 181 Doc Savage pulp adventures.
Have read all of Dashiell Hammett's Continental Op stories no thanks to
I often have the image in my head of holding a club and repeatedly beating in the heads of AAA members who ask some of the most silly and unreasonable requests. And I'm a gentle man at heart loud of bark but stumps for fangs in reality.
The only thing that keeps me sane sometimes is knowing we do a little good from time to time.

It was bound to happen. It was high time and well past due. I had come to believe I was entitled and this SHOULD be a part of my life experience. The wife just shook her head and smiled--quietly taking a more then passing interest in the event.
I thought it would never happen. I had been waiting years for it. On and off--as the subject would come to mind and roam up and down the brain stem giving pleasure at the thought. Truly the Bible is correct when it says the desire accomplished

When the IRS decided enough was enough last year one of the consequences was that I hadn't visited Barnes and Nobles in almost a year as utilities and comics were on a slightly higher priority.
Finishing up the first four days off in a row from the salt mines I've had in months. Our schedule is cumbersome and once a month we get four off to compensate but the shortage on second shift has resulted in overtime by which I am readjusting to my new bargain with IRS. They are settling
