I would like to comment on this book. The book was written as a gothic horror but really it is not that unusual for us as ordinary, considered sane people. He points out whether intended to or not that there is always good and evil in everyone and everything, by taking it to the extremes. The behaviour of Jekyll may seem horrific to us, but really is in some bizarre way parallel to the ways in which we act towards ourselves and each other. It takes a glimpse into parts of our personalities that we don't like to admit to ourselves let alone each other. I think this is why the book makes us uncomfortable, but also why it enthralls us and we continue to read on. This book is a classic, well done stevenson. As the first to comment, I hope you appreciate my views. Amilia Alba
