Reading this book for the first time was a pleasing surprise. I had heard the tale retold in many variations, but never had I read the book for its self. It is a rich tale of the duality of mankind, and how we are in essence creatures created for good. However in all of us there is the seed to do bad, and this is the morality of Dr Jeckyll and Mr Hyde. It demonstrates how innocent curiosity about the darker elements of our nature can soon get out of hand. how evil is compulsive and how evil can so easily take control of the good. The moral is a time old biblical one tht many christians recite daily in prayer..............Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
