Honestly! This book was sooo hard to read, and the beginning was so bad that I fell asleep right in the middle. How pathetic is that? I didn't like this book much, especially since it was a required reading for a summer portfolio; the only thing I DID like was that it had a love affair (not much of one, in my opinion). Wharton really shouldn't have even wasted her time. Isn't there such thing as a modernization of such books? ...I wish. Don't waste your time unless it's required.
