I have just finished reading this book and it took me several weeks to read. <br>While I found the actual written word a bit hard to grasp at first, it eventually became easier to digest. The preoccupations of Elinor and Marianne on a day to day basis regarding love and passion only heighten the differences that ladies of their times and ladies of my time consider relevant. Who they are going to marry and how much money they are worth only remind me that women have come a long way in the development of our 'take it for granted' independence now. If these two women were allowed to travel into the future and see how we live our lives. I'm sure they would think us a petty lot also, as the previous entry indicates. While the particulars of the book are average and not very exciting, the insights on their feelings certainly echo all women's feelings regarding love and passion.
