Emma like all of Jane Austen's books, is a thoroughly enjoyable book, some may find it difficult to get into, and it does take patience, however it is written in the style of all other 19th century books, there is a lot of narrative, but is beautifully written, and clever. Some may say that it is typical and very much like her other novels, however I think that it is different because Emma has flaws, and some people don't really like her, but she comes through. It is unlike her other novels in that the characterisation is far stronger, and anyone with a true appreciation of real characters and romance would fall instantly in love with Emma. It is supposed to be romantic, it is not accidental, and if it didn't have a happy ending then it wouldn't be romantic!
