If you find Emma boring you are looking over the fact that the book was written over a hundred years ago, and what we may find boring was the way of life for Jane Austen and her characters. This simply highlights the change of society from then to now. How interesting do you think a book about the life of a teenager in 2004 will be to those reading it in 2200?
