Although Austen's works may have similar plots and stlyes, it all the more shows her talent. She can take similar ideas and make them work over and over again with different twists and interesting characters. Although they do not have a deep inner meaning, her works- like P&P, S&S, and Emma- are meant to poke fun at the class structure that was breaking down during her lifetime. This is her pure comic genius. Her books are not meant to change your life, only to entertain part of it.
