George Orwell had written 1984, 35 years before that date and he had realted almost entirely this book to the past. mainly to the Rution Revolution, and the wars that had occured. The idea of a person not ever having individualism to begin with is in fact what is true in our society. The fact that the government is there, watching us and subjecting us to what we want to think is true and is happenign in our society. the idea that the government is out to get us, is not what Orwell had intended to state, it was the past and what was going on in real life. <br>The governmenet does tell us "how" to think and how to act, throught ther media, throguh its commercials, news, everything in the media is not a fluke, and in the book 1984, the government knows what and how they want to diminish our minds into purchising products as an example. In the book, Orwell states the three different classes, the elite, (inner party), the outer party, and the proles. this is in fact true in our society, making the inner governemnt the elite. <br>
