For Austin

This is a very simple poem, and probably nowhere near as good as the others posted on this site, but it involves very complex emotions. I wanted to share with everyone how deeply I felt about the birth of a "special" child, and this was a close as I could come to expressing these feelings. I hope you like it.

For Austin

You are my sunshine
My one and only
You bring me comfort
When I am lonely

You are my angel
Your smile is sunlight
You are a miracle
Your face shines so bright

God blessed me greatly
I am so thankful
To have you in my life
You are so beautiful

You make my heart sing
A little gift from above
My life was empty
Until I felt your love
