Hey, I think it's great someone introduced you to the book. I hear they aren't even reading it in public schools again. Like you, I read it when I was 15 and then I identified with Winston. It hit me so hard, that I still haven't been able to let go of the impression it left on me. I'll tell you something though, I solved winston's problem. Hope you can too!<br><br>

George Orwell's progeny, "1984" is by far, one of the most profound books I've ever read! <br><br>It has the readability of Charles Dickens, the grace of Mark Twain, and the in-your-face reality of the year 2003.<br><br>I'm 15 years old (a homeschooled sophomore), and I've read dozens of novels before. No other book (save for the Bible and Plato's "Republic") has left a more dramatic impression upon me than "1984".<br><br>"1984" IS NOT a book that I'd recommend for children (partly due to it's mature content). It IS; however, a book that SHOULD be read by anyone capable of handling it's content & meaning.
