Yeah, the victory cigarettes and the victory coffee and the victory gin are all total parallels of the freedom fries, etc. It's ironic that you would write that - I had just come across this site a few days ago and was returning to post the same observation after making the same connection as I was reading.

I started reading Chapter I and the phrase "Victory Cigarettes" popped off the page. Does that remind anybody of "Freedom Fries" just a few short days ago.<br><br>I re-read this book about a year ago and it gets scarier every time I read it.
