I read this delightful book at the age of 22, while still at university. I was stunned how Orwell's satire upon the Soviet dictatorship came across as a perfect chronicle of post-revolutionary era here in Iran. Almost a carbon copy! Just goes to show the author's great intelligence and his depth of vision. And the sequel, 1984, is every bit as beautiful and stirring..<br>Two "must read" books for anyone interested in English literature.
