This book is undoutibly sly. Many people I know wouldn't understand the irony in the words, but it is very sly.The reference to religion through 'Moses' is fantastic! The way that the animals represent groups of people and/or attitudes of people. for example, Benjamin. Benjamin is written as a character based on the author, George Orwell. The ignarance and stupidity of the common animals is uncanny to real-life attitudes. This book has changed my young life.<br>Paul, 14

The similarities between the USSR and Animal Farm were striking. It was very interesting how every one of the 7 commendaments was broken. And the phrase "All men(animals in this case) are equal, but some are more equal". It also shows what apathy combined with propaganda can do to a society.
