This was the first time I have read Animal Farm. It is a very intriguing book that displayed a mastery of symbolism. It demonstrates how totalitarianism and other fascistic forms of government fail because of simply human (or should I say animal?) greed. It also demonstrates that the people with weapons win (by Napoleon killing Snowball). I can't say enough good things about this book.
