As to Kenesha's comment: I think that Harriet did a wonderful job portraying slavery in the south. Even if she had never been to the south, she lived in the time period and would know better than us what went on in that time period. Also, if you had read the last chapter you would know that she had a brother in the south from whom she got the stories for most of her characters.
