Wuthering Heights is the most passionate and intense novel in English Literature, and I defy anyone to not find inspiration of some kind within its pages. I once heard a man say that anyone who did not fall in love with the book, “had no soul”. Having read Bronte’s only novel at least once a year from the age of eleven, I have to agree with him. I think that those cynics among you who have dismissed the book as “boring”, ought to spend more time learning basic spelling skills than attempting to read such an incredible piece of literature, as most of the comments on this page I have read critical of the novel appear to have been written by a six-year-old with learning difficulties – so, it is really no wonder they couldn’t ‘get into’ the book.
Bronte’s novel has to be my all time favourite book, including the most memorable and haunting characters and settings ever imagined. A work of pure genius.
