Like everyone else said, the book was a bit slow in the beginning, or at least it seemed that way. I think it just SEEMED slow because you have to accustom yourself to the vocabulary and re-read Joseph's lines a few times to understand what the heck he was trying to say. But, I must say that the book was pretty good. I just hated how evil Heathcliff was and that he wanted to hurt everyone so badly. Catherine (the mom) was pretty twisted herself, but she didn't turn that way until she found out that Isabella was 'in love' with Heathcliff. Anyways, just one of my many thoughts about the book. This book's not for everybody, but I liked it alright. I think I'll have to read it again because some stuff went over my head.
