This is a great book, the best of H.G. Wells, His books are way ahead of their time, this man discribed Giant Robots before the term "robot" was invented, in this book he describes that themartians arived in a cilindric ( kind of capsuleistic) shutle, just like the first rockets that went to the moon and not a plate like flying saucer like in the old movies, in a way he predicted the future of cience, the book its exciting, and it has a good story, but Mr. Wells was not as good a writer as he was a dreamer, so the book its grat of ci-fy fans or begginer readers, not so much for intelectual, heavy readers. in a scale from 1 to 10 I give it an 10 for creativity and inovation, 8 for the story, a 6 for proce and general writing and over all a BIG FAT 8.
