There are 16 chapters I believe

Why are people so annoyed by pessimism? Maybe The Time traveller had a reason to be pessimistic, ever thought of that?

If you must comment and pretend you know what you're talkin about, at least make sure you know how many chapters are actually in the book.

The ideas are, of course, fascinating and his vision of a future (however hooked into 19th century fears and anxieties) is still powerful. I partucularly like Chap 14 when he moves beyond the Eloi and Morlocks to the very twilight of life on Earth. Incredibly pessimistic.<br> However, the chief problem with this novel is Well's style. Exciting plot. Engaging themes. But his prose is like wading through concrete. <br> Not the book for anyone with a thirst for great writing.
