This book is so boring.<br>Bathsheba is a very fickle character, changing her mind without just cause on many occassions. She cannot decide whether she values Oak's opinions (of which he has very many) or not. Her feelings are very complex! The climax which occurs in chap 43 Fanny's Revenge is an important chapter as its relevance to the rest of the novel is very important. Think about how the dramatic detail, tension, and the way Hardy presents Bathsheba. Think about how all these change the readers opinion of Bathsheba compared to earlier in the novel when Hardy presented her differently.
