What can i say, Ivanhoe is one of the finest pieces of historical literature ever to grace my bookcase. The romance, chivalry and revival of medieval values, certainly gave new life to the victorian era, one ravaged by industrialisation. The Vitorians were, indeed, lucky to have Sir walter Scott as their mentor.
