THE ODYSSEY

I have to say that I totally disagree. The Odyssey is a cornerstone of literature, and has shaped the way literature is regarded in our modern world. Homer composed a poem that is not only historically invaluable, but lingusitically infamous, and although it may appear irrelevant to our modern society, it did in fact, contribute to its creation.

well, im a freshman, and we have to read Odyssey too. yeah........ anyways, my english teacher keeps telling us this is a college students' book. so..... well, if odyssey has wasted u wks of life, it has wasted months of mine. but some parts of it are very interesting tho

I am a freshman in high school and I just wanted to say that the odyssey has wasted weeks of my time. There is no need to read this book! What exactly are we getting out of it? They are no longer around, and as far as we know they never were!
