I have a question about this novel. In the finale, Eliot says that Dorothea and Will " They were bound to each other by a love stronger than any impulses which could have marred it.". Now I wonder: what are these impulses Eliot refers to? Do you think she implies that something in their respective inclinations would have prevented them from being happy together?
