I have read this play twice. I am a freshman in high school in New York State. For an English project, each student had to choose a book to persuade the teacher and lass to read or our next reading assignment. I chose this play. I found out the day beforehand that the following Monday was the beginning day of our Shakespearean Unit. The project was given on the preceding Wednesday. For our Freshman Class Play (My school gives each class a 1 -act play competition.) I am playing Rosalind in "While Shakespeare Slept." It is about a young William Shakespeare who decides to give up the theater, and become a stable hand. His dreams are then plagued by the heroines of his unwritten tales. Included are Lady MacBeth, Rosalind, Portia, Cleopatra, Jane, and possibly more. I haven't got the script at my disposal. <br> I give "As You Like It" the highest score possible.
