This is thee most interesting play of Shakespeare. The best character is Shylock,the only person who apears real and honest. He is kind of a sly,calculating character that brings life to the play.He is the one the one that makes you wanna keep reading to find out what happens in the end.Like all fairytales,it has a happy ending,but a bit unfair on shylock's side. As for Antonio he is a bit wet behind the ears. Bassanio is a user and a playa,what today's women want. Portia the desirable maiden who is wanted by everyone for her wealth is a typical example of what is happening to the rich women of today. .
