Hi, can anybody paraphrase the italic text for me?

1-A male ruby Burns like a lighted coal within the clasp The Holy Father has not such a stone, Nor could the Indies show a brother to it.

who is Lorenzo in following text?

2-The brooch itself is of most curious art, Cellini never made a fairer thing To please the great Lorenzo.

Hi,
I've read the passage you asked for and I have couple of ideas.
First of all Simone, describing a royal suit and at some point talks about the brooch which holds the cape together. That brooch is made out of ruby and there is another precious stone resembles it, which is called carnelian and according to the Bible highly found in East Indies. I think that makes sense since there is one more Biblical reference (Holy Father) in the same sentence. So the character is so sure neither in heaven nor in East Indies, one can find a gemstone compared to this ruby.
I dont have anything for the second question, sorry for this one. I hope I could express myself, English is not my native language.
