since it seems like you know a whole deal about shakespeare, you should note that it is not his only comedy with a happy ending, as he also wrote 12th night. And they were commenting on this play's characters so stop being all big-headed and let them appreciate it for what it's worth. And, just to let you know, the happy ending isn't the ONLY thing that attracts people. Shakespeare's writing fit into a fer different genres, including comedy, so you can't say that it isn't a TRUE Shakesperean play at all. And if it can only be appreciated by children, why would you go on to say that you like it?
