I'm currently doing an essay entitled 'Katherina is defined and destroyed by the male tongue'. To what extent is she potrayed as a stereotypical shrew, manipulated and developed for Shakepspeare's contemporary audince, and who today is simply outdated?' Was wondering if anyone can recommend any sites featuring modern/elizabethan reviews of the play, and/or any ideas of modern plays with similar characters that I could compare it to? Let me know!
