I was hoping for some feedback on my dissertation. The title is still in progress, but it will regard Dystopian literature, in particular Young Adult, The Hunger Games trilogy. It's 10,000 words and my aims are
1. An analysis of child dystopias v adult dystopias, and how this has reflected on my own understanding.
2. A textual analysis of THG drawing on Childhood Studies and Literature material.
3. And in ref to THG, does the writing function as an empowering agency for youth? i.e social justice issues, and how Katniss challenges the collective ideology of the state.
I'm confident with the first 2 aims, not so much the 3rd, any thoughts? It's only 10,000 words, but there is so much i could discuss i.e surveilance, revolution, entertainment, the notion of celebrity, post 9-11 literature, etc.
If you can throw any feedback my way in order to better my framework? It will be hugely appreciated!
