Who else here thinks that Dumas would have made a fortune as a writer for a soap opera if he lived today? (He could have written for wrestling too, they serve the same purpose.)

I think he would have become a hollywood script-writer, usually writing amusing romance movies, just like Hugo would.

Yeah, I can see that too. Maybe they wouldn't allow their books to be butchered as what often happens.
