you read right, Iago killed his own wife, Othello killed his own wife by smothering her to a point of death, but she actually dies as Emilia is trying to help her, am I right or is this wrong? And I thought Othello took a dagger and killed himself, yes????

But wouldn't you say that by the actions Iago underwent to make Othello sick with jealousy,to the point that he would take the life of his own wife,he did indeed plant the seeds of Othellos death. He was afterall the cause and effect of the whole tradgedy.

It is my understanding after reading the play Othello that Iago kills Emilia and not Othello. Correct if I am wrong.
