As a kid from an annoyingly artsy family, whose head has been thrust into Homer and Shakespeare and who knows who else since she was very young, I have never heard of this play. It seems like the kinda thing Mom woulda' told me about to get me to read it. But just because I was reluctant when I was really little doesn't mean I don't like Shakespeare now; this play seems to be the kind of thing that could keep you up all night, wide-eyed and deep in thought -perhaps not fear, but complex thought about human nature-if performed well. I may want to see it; very powerful stuff. You know I almost get the feeling Master Shakespeare was on a gross-out dare and won..
