hello everyone, i posted a message bout a week ago about the same book...had a few responses and they helped out a little. just a few questions for this one. first can anyone help with the comparing/contrasting of El Coronel and Don Sabas? also the issue of the women in the story.....how the wife of Don Sabas acts compared to how the wife of El Coronel acts. most of this can be found in chapter 5 of the book, if you got an english version of the book it may not go by chapters but it is from the part of El Coronel visiting Don Sabas on his way to the post office and ends at the part where El Coronel tells his wife he is selling the rooster for 900 pesos to Don Sabas. so if you can help point out some symbolisms in the book and/or the questions above i would greatly appreciate it.
