I have read this book quite fast but I couldn't focus that much so I was putting it down all the time and I was coming to it later. strange but true...this book is interesting and LONG however, as for me there are not as many adventures as I wanted and the titles of the chapters are too simple and obvious. if you see them before reading you'll already know that you have to rad 400 pages to get to the last tree chapters where moby dick finally appears. not funny...moreover the theoretical chapters are really interesting but there are too many of them. you cannot focus on the story because of those chapters. I liked that book and I admire its writer for patience and being precised however it was a bit dull and full of unnecessary thoughts. everybody should read it to have his own opinion on this matter and to see how and what kind of books were written in the nineteenth century.
