There is no doubt that The Wind in the Willows is one of the most exceptional and enduring children's books that has ever been written. The major characters are a joy to meet -Otter, Mole, Ratty, Badger and of course Toad.

The Wind in the Willows has something for everyone. It is a haunting and beautiful book and I read it as often as I can. My study has prints from some of the many illustrated versions. Has anyone rewad any of the four sequels by William Horwood?

It is not only a classic for children , but a great work for anyone. The dilemma that human beings are confronted with is illustrated in an interesting and agreeable way. It is a dream for all. A secret garden in our hearts.
