The first prize I ever won at school was The Kenneth Graham Book, which contained three of Graham's works, including The Wind in the Willows, Dream Days and the Golden Age. I had a choice of what book I would like as a prize from a big pile in the headmaster's office. I am sorry to say that I chose my prize book because it was the biggest one there! Although this was not a very good reason, in my defence I had heard of the Wind in the Willows. I was 11 years old at the time and have never regretted my choice. I have that book to this day, and the Wind in the Willows section has been read and re-read. This was an instance when "Biggest is Best"! My children have a super deluxe edition of the book, but it's not as beloved as that battered old green bound edition complete with the tea stains they I know and love
