The Scarlet Letter is indeed a great book, however I disagree when Hawthorne points out the moral of the story is to be your true self (because it gets you in soooo much trouble). <br><br>How does Hester's alienation reveal the surrounding society's assumptions and moral values? I would appreciate of anyone could help me with this questions. Danke.
