For those people who said that this is a horrible book, you are just messed up or something. Especially to say that you hated it because it was hard to read. I am a junior in high school and we just got done reading this book and I thought that it was great. Hawthorne goes into great detail in explaining the characters appearances and their personalities to show how those people were supposed to act. You are not supposd to mold those characters into a shape of your own, but to gain a deeper meaning behind the book. Everyone thinks that Hester was a symbol of sin when the book shows the realism of how everyone has sin. I think very highly of this book and I hope that it can be better understood.<br>
