I must amit that I actually enjoyed the book somewhat. It wasn't the best thing to read; i know I wouldn't have read this on my own free will if it wasn't for 11th grade english class, but it's better than reading really boring books with just facts in it. <br>It is sort of slow in the beginning, but as you read you start to feel like as if you really know these characters. <br>A lot of people have commented that it's a tough story to read, since it is worded in such a way that makes it difficult to comprehend. I just turned 17 and I thought The Scarlet Letter was a simple read; although, I believe it would just have to depend on your reading skills.<br>So, if you like lots of detail, an engaging plot and you're a romantic, then The Scarlet Letter is the right book for you.<br>
